TRADITIONAL HAWAIIAN SURF CULTURE
Traditional Hawaiian Surf Culture takes a stab at collecting together all that we know about surfing culture -- at least prior to and immediately following European contact in Hawai`i, in the late 1770s. This chapter is the most detailed information on the subject available anywhere, excepting Volume 1 of LEGENDARY SURFERS, itself.
The original LEGENDARY SURFERS chapter on this subject was written in 1999. This booklet version -- written in 2004 -- has been revised with lots more material added.
